North Side offers both secured and unsecured Visa credit cards for your convenience. If you have been turned down for other credit cards, consider our secured Visa. It is secured by funds in your savings account, and can help you build a positive credit history. If you have established credit, you may be eligible for our unsecured Visa.

Secured Credit Card

This Visa Card is secured by money in your savings account. If have no credit or need to repair your credit, a secured card is one of your tools. Manage this card properly and your positive credit history will grow.

How to Apply

  • Download and complete the application.
  • Submit application in person.
  • Card will be sent to your home within 10 business days.

Terms and Conditions

  • Credit Limit – minimum of $500, and maximum is based on the amount of secured funds in your savings account.
  • Secure the credit limit plus $100 in a savings account to receive a secured card.
  • Application Fee: $10
  • Annual Percentage Rate: 15.84% for purchases and cash advances
  • Annual Fee: $7.50
  • Late Fee: $20.00
  • Over Limit Fee: $5.00
  • Grace Period – 25 days

Unsecured Credit Card

An unsecured credit card with a credit limit and Annual Percentage Rate based on your income and credit history.

Requirements

  • $200 minimum balance frozen in savings account
  • Positive credit history

How to apply

  • Download and complete the application.
  • Submit Employment Verification with two recent paystubs with application.
  • Application will be approved or denied by the credit committee within 10 business days.

Terms and Conditions

  • Annual Percentage Rate of 11.88% or 15.84% (based on risk rating) for cash advances and purchases
  • Application Fee: $10
  • Annual Fee: $7.50
  • Late Fee: $20
  • Over Limit Fee: $5.00
  • Grace Period – 25 days

Debit Card

A VISA branded, secured debit card is coming in June 2014! A Prepaid VISA card option is also available. Prepaid cards can be used with either savings or checking accounts, but you must have a checking account to access a VISA debit card.
